One of my usual lunches. I probably have some version of it 1-3 times a week. (Swapping out the protein part usually)
Spinach salad with avocado, salt and pepper, olive oil and lemon juice. Leftover breakfast pie (eggs, mushrooms, ground beef, spinach. )
Today’s thrifty frocks are not all that exciting, but it’s a good daily work look. And it’s easy. And cheap. But in a good way.
Shoes- F21 $16
Skirt- thrifted $3 (close up pic you can see it’s got multicolored dots, and you know how I love multicolored things!)

I have some tips hidden in there for finding deals and whatnot :) Happy Friday!
Jacket- LOFT but found at a yard sale! $3 or $4
*tips for yard sales, hit Craigslist early Saturday morning (7am) and map out the trendy parts of your town or one nearby. There’s a certain part of my city where a lot of rich and trendy folks live….I yard sale there!
top- Old Navy $10
lace vest- from Francesca’s but found at a resale shop. $12
*tips about the resale shops. Search and search your area for resale shops. Some may surprise you, so check them out. Also be scoping out the best places to take your used clothes as well! The place I take my clothes to resell is in a little town about 20 mins north of where I live. But it’s worth making the trip bc the lady who owns it does an amazing job at 1. selling my stuff for good prices! and 2. Picking great items to carry in her store. It’s a win-win. Last month I made $100 just letting her sell the stuff I cleaned out of my closet.
dotted jeans- Old Navy. sale $20
booties- Kmart. sale $20
*Oh and last, but not least…my number one tip for thrifting in general…Look at ALL the things!!! All of them. Patience grasshopper.
skirt- LOFT, thrifted under $7
top- Express, thrifted $3 Patrick picked this up for me, and I love it. It def has an Anthropologie feel to it.
flats- Target, a few years ago, under $20
This is kind of an outfit post, and kind of a fitness post. And sorry for my first pose there…hahaha…had to fit in the frame somehow.
Outfit: (top photo) As I posted last week, I have a new obsession with shirtdresses. This is another one from Old Navy. They’re flattering and easy to wear, and comfortable. Shoes- years ago from Target.
Fitness: Um, wouldja LOOK at the difference in my legs from the two photos?!?!!
The second photo with the striped top I nabbed from an older outfit post for comparison. I really think all my hard work is starting to pay off…even if I do see it in my legs first. I really really really want to start seeing it in my stomach area more! With time I suppose!
today’s horribly photographed outfit post :)
shoes- kmart $20-ish
tights- prob kmart or walmart under $8
skirt (silk, layered, with pockets)- Anthropologie 4 or 5 years ago (on sale, bday gift to myself) $48. I really adore this skirt bc it’s pretty darn versatile for a floral. Looks good with a plain white tank and strappy sandals as well.
top- Banana Republic, thrifted $3
So let’s talk about that bathroom photo first- don’t you love my paper towel dispenser prop?!? Maybe next time I will put my hands under my chin and lean in on it like a 90s senior picture :)
Listen, I just blog my fashion randomly for fun and to give ppl ideas about cheap fashions that can work. Bathroom selfies are all I got zee time to do.
My new favorite thing- the shirtdress! Is that one word? Who cares.
top pic- shirtdress I wore yesterday, thrifted, and I used a belt that came with another F21 dress. shoes- kmart $20
bottom pic: today
shirtdress- Old Navy (Currently on clearance with an extra 15% off online today!) I’m going to buy it in the other color and a stripes version because this is so perfect for work. So many options: swap out belts, wear boots and tights, wear heels or wedges, wear it with a blazer, etc etc Whooo! Good find.
belt- Target a few years ago $12, but they had these at Old Navy as well.
flats- F21 $17
